Welcome to Kindergarten at Sevenoaks Prep, where our young learners aged three to four embark on the next chapter of their pre-school journey in an environment filled with excitement and discovery.

Transitioning seamlessly from Nursery, our Kindergarten provides a nurturing space where children continue to thrive alongside their friends and familiar staff. With a commitment to excellence, children attend a minimum of two morning sessions and one full day each week, ensuring ample opportunities for growth and exploration.

Set across two dynamic classrooms and a picturesque outdoor space, our Kindergarten ignites children’s passion for learning through meticulously planned topics and by nurturing their individual interests. Here, every moment is an opportunity for discovery and growth.

In addition to our enriching curriculum, Kindergarten children enjoy a variety of additional experiences throughout the week, including Mini Movers, CycleMe.Tots, Playball, and Outdoor Adventures, fostering a well-rounded educational experience.

Our dedicated teachers tailor experiences that develop learning across the Prime Areas and Specific Areas of the Early Years Curriculum, ensuring a holistic approach to education. Through our online journal, parents remain closely involved in their child’s development, sharing in the joys and milestones of their school experiences.

At Sevenoaks Prep, we instill a growth mindset philosophy, empowering children to take pride in their achievements and progress through the Characteristics of Effective Learning. With a focus on the Prime Areas of the curriculum: Communication and Language, Personal, Social, and Emotional Development, and Physical Development, as well as the Specific Areas: Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding of the World, and Art and Design, our curriculum prepares children for the transition to full-time school in Reception.
