Before half term, our Year 5 choir members joined our chamber choir and performed in the inaugural IAPS Festival of Singing, the first-ever choral event by IAPS. Over two nights, 450 children from 16 prep schools in Kent showcased a challenging and enjoyable repertoire, including “For the Beauty of the Earth,” “Gloria,” a medley of Kent folk songs, and “From Now On.” The schools joined together to sing as one choir and then each school performed a solo piece in front of a full audience. It was a wonderful and uplifting event, and our choir enjoyed performing in Benenden School’s Centenary Hall.
