We are really proud of our U11 rugby team who were victorious at the Solefield U11 7s Rugby Tournament last Saturday.
They triumphed in their first three matches against Solefield, St Michael’s and New Beacon B team. They then had a final showdown against Bickley Park, characterised by intense physicality and some beautiful rugby. The boys exhibited unwavering determination, culminating in a nail-biting 2:2 draw due to us scoring a dramatic try just before the final whistle. This crucial play secured our victory as our total score across the tournament was 17 against Bickley Park’s 16, earning us the championship title.
The morning was filled with thrilling rugby action, bolstered by wonderful support from the sidelines; our boys learnt a lot about rugby and themselves.
