This Easter members of the Sevenoaks Prep family travelled to Pinzolo, Italy for a week of adventure in the Dolomites. Suitcases ranged from the alarmingly small to the predictably enormous, and everyone was relieved that 44 humans and 44 bags all arrived safely at Verona Airport.
The week saw pupils who had never set foot on the mountain before tackling Black Runs by day 6, to more experienced skiers improving their technique both on the slopes and in the Jump Park.
The highlight of each day was surely Mr Ashcroft’s prize-giving after dinner, during which sunglasses and socks were handed out for actions both commendable and comical. A set of bunny ears was also awarded to a deserving staff member to wear the following day on their ski helmet.
If six hours skiing wasn’t enough to wear the children out, afternoons were spent ice-skating, swimming, dancing or shopping and everyone collapsed into bed each night exhausted. Nobody escaped the glare of Mr Creasey’s GoPro and parents were inundated with photos and videos of the fun we were having.
It was a really fantastic trip and the perfect way to start the Easter Holidays!
