We recently held our annual Golf Day at Knole Park Golf Club and it wonderful to be able to hold the event again after being unable to for the last 2 years. We are grateful to the club for hosting us once again and the scenic parkland course looked stunning.
The sun shone for the golfers and with a shotgun start we had over 18 teams teeing off at 9.30 across the course. With golfers of all abilities, they tackled the challenges of the course with refreshments provided at the 1st and 9th holes to help them on their way. There was a battle for longest drive on the 9th hole and also nearest to the pin on the 16th both of which were closely contested.
Everyone then reconvened at The Club House with drinks on the terrace before sitting down for a well-deserved lunch. A fun afternoon entailed with Ed Giddins leading the afternoon auction which had many enthusiastic bidders and helped raise money for The Sevenoaks Prep Emergency Bursary Fund.
A big thank you to our generous sponsors Strutt & Parker and NFU Mutual Sevenoaks & Meopham for helping to make the day happen, both of whom had teams competing. It was lovely to see teams from all year groups playing and congratulations to The Deal Breakers for taking home the prestigious winner’s shield with a fantastic score.
The golf day is always a social highlight of the school year and this year was no exception, make sure you put 19th May in your diaries for our 2023 Golf Day and join in the fun.
