It is fair to say that this year’s cohort have experienced a less than normal build up to their examinations, with lockdown forcing them to adapt their revision plans, teachers adapting their materials for online platforms and parents helping them to study from home. However, the triangle of pupil – teacher – parent has worked tremendously and it is testament to the hard work, perseverance, dedication and resilience of the pupils that they have achieved so highly under such difficult circumstances. I am sure you will join me in congratulating them all.
We are also publishing the list of Year 8 destination schools and scholarship awards. As you can see from the table below, the pupils have gained places at local schools and those further afield.

Yet again, it has been about finding the right school for the character of the individual, and I am proud the relationships we have with our destination schools that enable us to work together in the best interests of the child. Our pupils have secured scholarships in sport, drama and music; our academic scholarship candidates have had their examinations postponed from May this year to Autumn Term 2020, and we wish them every success in their endeavours.
We are hugely proud of everyone’s achievements and wish them every happiness for the future.
