Our science department challenged pupils in Years 3 to 7 to think about our environment and our impact on it. They set a variety of optional ‘Eco Challenges’ for pupils to undertake including undertaking physical tasks, designing an eco vehicle and writing a scientific essay about the merits of renewable energy sources over coal. We received a wonderful selection of entries in formats including posters, videos, models, essays, photographs. In assembly this week, we congratulated everyone who had taken part, and presented the winners with their prizes.
Next term will see the conception of an ‘Eco Team’ of pupils from Years 3 to 7 who will meet each week and co-ordinate our green efforts.
