School Nurse (Maternity Cover)

An opportunity has arisen to join the Sevenoaks Prep team to take on the role of School Nurse. This is a fixed term 12 month contract covering Maternity Leave. We look for caring, friendly, hard-working team players who appreciate our nurturing ethos and Way of Life.
Responsible to The Bursar, the successful candidate will:

Role is 5 days per week (10:00 to 16:00) term time only.

1:1 Literacy Support Assistant

Literacy Support Assistant to provide individualised, nurturing, and consistent support to a child in Key Stage One during Literacy lessons. The role focuses on promoting the child’s phonic, reading and spelling development.
Key Responsibilities
•     Provide 1:1 support for the child during Literacy lessons. Required four mornings per week, for one hour each morning.
•     Implement strategies recommended by the SENCo, therapists, and external professionals (e.g. speech and language therapy).
•     Adapt activities and resources to ensure accessibility and engagement, in line with the child’s individual targets/learning support plan.
•     Monitor, record, and provide feedback on the child’s progress to staff.
•     Work collaboratively with teachers, Key Stage One practitioners, and external professionals.
•     Ensure the child’s safety and well-being, following safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
