E-Safety

E-Safety Key Points to remember:

The internet is fun but is also dangerous if not used properly:

Any information about you or photographs that you post on-line are no longer your property and once online can last forever.

Do not put personal details such as your name, mobile ‘phone number, email address, home address etc on the internet unless you are really sure that it is safe. You cannot control who will see this information or what it will be used for.

Be aware that your computer has a unique code, an IP address, that can identify the computer, and can be used to trace that computer’s location.

Go to Thinkuknow.co.uk or Chatdanger.com for more information. These sites are interesting, fun and informative for children and parents.

If you are at all worried about anything concerning the internet speak to Mum or Dad or a teacher.
