Charities

The Prep is keen to support good causes and the school is inundated with requests to do so. All requests received by the school are acknowledged and are put on a list. The list forms the basis from which the pupils and staff will choose when voting for their House Charities. Each House chooses to support one charity per year. House Staff and House Captains consider and research the charities in the school file and any others that have been proposed. Each house shortlists three charities and all the children in each House vote for the charity that they wish to adopt for the year. Each House has a charity day during the year where all monies collected are given to their chosen charity.

For 2009 the chosen charities were:

Seal  -   Make a Wish Foundation
Knole -  Help For Heros
Vine  -   Macmillan Cancer Support
Weald -  Red Cross Haiti Appeal
